ABOUT THE SHOW
Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre (ESRT) is delighted to present its 2025 fall production of James and the Giant Peach JR, running November 7–9 at the Daphne Civic Center.
Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach JR is a magical, action-packed adventure filled with heart, humor, and a little bit of insect-sized mischief. With an unforgettable score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman), and a cast of talented young performers, this show is perfect for audiences of all ages.
The story follows young James, who, after the loss of his parents, is forced to live with his two dreadful aunts. But when he discovers a mysterious potion and a giant enchanted peach begins to grow in the yard, James sets off on a thrilling journey across the ocean with a group of friendly, oversized insect companions. Along the way, they face wild adventures, discover the power of friendship, and learn that home is not a place—it’s the people you’re with.
James and the Giant Peach JR is directed by Erin Langley with choreography by Matthew Kiel.
Performances begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8. A Sunday matinee will be offered at 2:00 p.m. on November 9. Tickets go on sale October 1 at www.easternshorerep.org and may also be available at the door, subject to availability. General admission tickets are $20.00. A limited number of reserved patron seats ($150.00) and general admission seats with early entry ($75.00) will be sold online. All tickets are nonrefundable.
